true custom koozies
I started to hear the word koozie in the early 90s mostly in the Texas region and though to my self what the heck is a koozies? First of all everyone spells and calls koozies differently, everything from cozies, beer holders to beer stubby holders. I personally call them Koozies simply because thats the most popular term I hear. I always though that koozies were something that were local to America but after traveling for the last five years I have seen them to be very popular in places like Australia where they call them eco holders, they are so popular Aussies dont drink beer without them. And in south East Asia and some parts of Europe they are catching on.
Koozies became popular in the early 90s by RCC koozies, which is the original company that has printed koozies, in recent years Kolder inc. has become the printer of choice for all major NFL, NBA, NHL and all other major sports teams since they print on neoprene( wet suit material) they can multiple colors and still have good registration.
Many people personalize koozies to support there ideas and beliefs such as NASCAR, American pride, company loyalty, weddings, parties, birthdays and for celebrations of any kind. The reason they are so popular is because they are usually cheap and useful. Koozies started to get popular in the early 90s when many large companies started putting their logos on them and giving them out, they worked great because they were widely used and a cheap way to advertise.
